After years of joking "we should start a podcast," we finally took the leap in 2025!

Hi! I’m Jordyn
Hello!Welcome! I’m Jordyn: mother of two, medical mama, weekend DIY-er, and book escapist.
In 2023, after my son was born, I fully took the leap into the romantasy genre with Rebecca Yarros’ Fourth Wing and Iron Flame. They became my constant companions during those sleep-deprived newborn days. After listening to the audiobooks twice, Throne of Glass was recommended to me and the rest is history.
Suddenly, I was devouring books left and right. The only problem? I was going through them so fast that I didn’t really have anyone to talk to about them…
… That is until Pamela and I realized we were both obsessing over romantasy and flying through books. From then on we naturally fell into conversation about our books and sending TBR books to each other.
It’s been so much fun creating this with her and I hope you feel like you’re right in the studio with us!

Hello! I'm Pamela, co-host of Tomes and Tangents. My co-host Jordyn and I have a bad habit of never running out of things to say—so we figured we might as well press record and call it a hobby!
Join us for quick, book-club-style chats about all things romantasy. No endless deep dives here—just honest reviews, sudden "aha!" moments, and a continuous effort not to get too distracted by off-topic thoughts. If you want to feel like you’re at a cozy slumber party hanging out with your best friends, you’re in the right place.
Outside the podcast, I’m a full-time working mom who loves learning new things, collecting hobbies, and generally saying "yes" to new experiences (hence starting a podcast when I usually keep a pretty low profile online!). My most recent obsession? Getting back into distance running after several years off.
